Hello!

Hello!

Hello, and welcome to our first blog post!  Thanks for stopping by our site.  At this point you may be wondering why we even have a website, not to mention a blog on the site.  Well, for those of you who haven’t already heard, Ashley and I decided to take a grand leap of faith, purchase an RV, and travel the country for an undetermined amount of time.  Probably until we find a place we absolutely love, or until Ashley gets sick of spending so much time in such close quarters with me (my bet is naturally on the latter.)

So we’ve decided to collect our adventures here on the internet for the world (or more accurately our families and friends) to read and journey along with us.

We’re not really sure what lead us to this point, but we both remember having a conversation roughly two years ago in which one of us joked about “just living in a van.”  We were probably talking about where we wanted to live in the future, or tiny houses, or wanting to see more of our own country, and this is where we landed.  So the RV research and planning began, and now here we are – ready to hit the road this spring.

We decided keeping a blog would be the easiest way to share our adventures and keep everyone who’s interested updated on what we’ve been up to lately.  Not to mention our mothers will most likely rest easier knowing where we are and that we’re not getting into any trouble.

We intend to travel slowly and deliberately, spending as much time as we can visiting friends and family, enjoying time outdoors, and seeing new places.  These posts will likely be boring for most people, so skip ahead, post comments, ask questions, or find something more interesting to read elsewhere!
The next couple of posts will cover our RV search and eventual purchase – plus we’ll actually include some photos to make this marginally more interesting.  Please say hello in the comments if you feel so inclined.  More to come on our new coach in the near future!
